The Jazz Gunung festival is expected to continue on a sustainable basis. This was expressed by the Regent of Probolinggo, H. Muhammad Haris, and Jazz Gunung Initiator Butet Kertaradjasa at the Jazz Gunung 2025 Series 1 Bromo event on Saturday (19/7/2025).
“Please take care of Bromo and at the same time ensure this event can continue to be held,” said the regional head, affectionately known as Gus Haris, before the invited guests and the congregation of Al Jazziyah.
He also expressed his utmost gratitude to the Jazz Gunung organizers for entrusting Probolinggo Regency to host the Jazz Gunung 2025 event.
“This is a great honor for me as a regional leader,” he said.
Echoing this sentiment, Jazz Gunung Initiator Butet Kertaradjasa also expressed his desire for this largest jazz festival to be held indefinitely.
“There are many mountains in Indonesia, so naturally the venues could rotate to other mountains as well,” explained Butet.
In addition to hundreds of Al Jazziyah congregation members, the Jazz Gunung 2025 Series 1 event in Bromo was attended by East Java Deputy Governor Emil Elestianto Dardak and Banyuwangi Regent Ipuk Fiestiandani.
