The Phase of Success for Gandrung Dancers

Park & Installation

Ready to Serve Wholeheartedly

Terracotta, carrying the meaning that 'Nothing is eternal in this life. From dust to dust', serves as the philosophical foundation for the various forms of Terracotta statues.

In this pool, the Gandrung dancers also clasp their hands together, signifying that the Gandrung dancer is 'ready to serve with all their heart'. They will continue to create with dedication until the end of their days, as depicted by the statues of dancers standing perfectly, from half-body to sinking into the pool.

Along their journey, they believe that no effort is in vain in continuously preserving the Gandrung Dance. The statues of Gandrung dancers lined up in a circle and showing dancing movements illustrate that success in life will certainly be achieved by continuing to create with all one's heart. This is the phase of success for the Gandrung dancers.
